A new matched cohort study published in the Journal of Women's Health finds that group prenatal care lowers risk of preterm birth by 37% and low birth weight by 38% compared to individual prenatal care. Women attending 5 or more group visits lowered their risk of preterm birth by 68% and low birth weight by 66%.
