Hi all, First off, I hope all of you are well and persevering through our current situation, wherever you are. I know everyone's clinics and sites are impacted differently by the current situation, Centering groups included. Our site has had to suspend current groups and put a pause on our next couple starting due to the strain on our providers and the inability to meet in groups. I'm trying to look ahead and plan, looking forward to when our groups can again resume. Just wondering if anyone has considered how all of this will affect future recruitment and what strategies they will employ, should they need to be different than current strategies? I'm hopeful that given all of the isolation people are going through right now, people will be eager to start back up in groups and be around others, but also recognize that there might be a very real hesitancy as it relates to being in groups, especially pregnant. Just hoping to see what others are considering.
Thanks all! Stay well.

Hello from CNMI Centering!
Hope all is well.
Our centering has been suspended since we got our first confirmed cases two months ago and we still have not resumed. To continue providing the services we are planning of doing virtual centering to minimize contacts with the participants. But the question is, would it be possible to double the session for those that are in their 2nd trimester since we are not doing prenatal check? The participants will continue going in for their prenatal visit at the clinic but we felt that we must continue to do sessions to educate the participants. Please advise

Hi Tony, Patients across the country have expressed much gratitude to sites for doing virtual groups with both the community building and interactive learning components. So, I would think this is a super option for your patients who are feeling isolated from their pregnancy group community. Some sites are alternating in-person and virtual groups as well with the clinical assessments happening in a break out room minus the vitals and still being able to bill. Please check out the resources on our webinars, our COVID-19 forum here on Connects and the Portal for more help with these issues. Please let me know if this is helpful or you have more questions.
