Hi everyone! My name is Elizabeth Leegins and I am joining Granville Vance Public Health in their Centering Pregnancy journey. We are based out of Oxford and Henderson, North Carolina. I am super excited to be helping facilitate Centering groups during my time as a MedServe Fellow. I have thoroughly enjoyed shadowing some Centering sessions thus far and cannot wait to help future groups throughout their pregnancies. I would love any advice/ suggestions for awesome, interactive Centering groups! Thank you!

Welcome Noopur! Like Tanya, I am always thrilled to hear about clinics whose residents are involved with Centering. It's such a great continuity experience and wonderful that residents are leaving their training with this skill.

Feel free to reach out to me if you want to talk: lstern@centeringhealthcare.org. I know that some of your colleagues are signed up to attend the November 15 NC-SC Centering consortium meeting. We'll have an activity in which people share ideas for for interactive activities so hopefully they'll bring back some new ideas.

Are you new to CenteringConnects? Introduce yourself to our community. Tell us about yourself, your healthcare system or facility, your role and why you signed up to be a CenteringConnects member. Good day everyone, My name is Marier Crisler and I am from Gary In, and I work for Community HealthNet Centers. I am the Site Coordinator for our MLK location as well as the Lead Facilitator For our Centering Programs. I became a member to obtain great information and to share news as well. I want to share some great news with you all. I have just became a CCF as of 11/09/23. This is a great accomplishment that I have desired for the past couple of years. I have been leading our groups sense 2013. The joy of bringing the groups together for my community is more then words can express. In my closing remarks" I would like to say to everyone the mission is worth the fight. The difference in each individual life that we all make through Centering is the reward. Respectfully, Marier

Hi! I'm MK Goodwin, an OB/Gyn in Ashville NC. Our practice is just starting a centering program and two of my partners have already done training. I'm the next in line and going next week. I completed my training (before they started centering) at MAHEC where some of the people in the videos are coming from. Can't wait to go to training!

Hi,
My name is Debbie and I'm very excited about taking this class. I am a nurse working in an OBGYN clinic in Keene NH. I am also a nutritionist and herbalist. I feel my calling is in patient education and facilitating support groups. As part of my job I have the honor of providing prenatal education, so I felt helping to facilitate a centering group would be a great compliment to my work. I am always encouraging our patients to explore the idea of joining a centering group and now I will get the chance to actually learn how to help run a group!
Yours in health, Debbie
