Hi all,
I was wondering how other sites get moms engaged prior to circle up time (especially during the first couple of sessions before they really know each other). Depending on how fast the individual assessments go, it can be a bit slow while moms are waiting for their baby to be seen and I'd like to be able to use that time more effectively. Any thoughts or ideas are most welcome!
Thanks! Chelsea

Hi Chelsea,
I am hoping that some of the people who have been active on the CenteringParenting network calls see this post and have a chance to respond!
One suggestion might be to stagger the assessments. Complete half, take a break or move right into your Circle Up time, and then finish up the remaining towards the end of the scheduled visit. Parents might be more comfortable hanging out chatting with one another at the end of the visit, once the ice has been broken and they realize they have many things in common with the others.
warmly, Marena
