After you have entered all required data in CenteringCounts and saved other data on the computer, how long do you keep paperwork? 2 years back, 5 years back? Are you keeping patient evals and/or Confidentiality Agreements indefinitely or at all?

I don't believe that I have ever been asked that question before. I suppose it depends on the records policy for the individual healthcare facility. At CHI, we keep digital records of all files submitted to us in perpetuity. We do not have a requirement for Centering sites to retain records for any specified length of time.

Centering-wise, Confidentiality Agreements are usually the important documents to save for a certain length of time, but John you are correct that is a practice-specific guideline. I wonder if there are laws in NY state that dictate how long certain documents need to be saved...
