Manage Groups Screen - this screen is blank before a group is created. It would be nice to have some logic that says "if the number of groups = 0, then display a message to Create Groups" or load the Create Groups screen.

First of all, I really like Centering Counts! I'm hoping that we will be able to submit for continuing approval through the system by April! I do have a couple of requests/suggestions. 1. I would love to see a place for the moms zip code in the demographics. Centering sites in Ohio are being asked to report on zip codes being served by the Ohio Department of Health. It would make reporting much easier if the information required by CHI matched that of the state requests. 2. When we mark moms as absent for a session, it would be nice to have the options of "transfer care', "chose traditional care" and "lost to follow up" or something along those lines. 3. For the outcomes information, sometimes we have the basic birth information when moms transfer out of our practice.

Thanks Alison! 1 - We will see how easy or difficult it would be to add a zip code field to the patient record and let you know. 2 - To clarify, do you want to leave this mom in the group even though she has transferred out? I assume you would want to do that based on #3, to capture her outcomes anyway if she came to a few Centering groups before leaving. We do have those sort of options but they are in the "Remove from group" option rather than attendance (screenshot attached below). We're happy to think about a better way to do this and update the dropdown options if we can easily.

We have "printable schedule" on our list for improvements. In the meantime, you can screen print the Group Details page for the dates and patient list of each group.

We got some great feedback via email from Heart of Ohio so I'm sharing it here for all: Q: First off, it would be nice to be able to build the group by just entering names. When patients first come to us, we do not have all the information available in the patient chart. For example, we most often do not have level of education or marital status in the detail Centering Counts desires. A: I suggest selecting "unknown" at the time of data entry and then you can go back and add details later (hopefully you'll remember to). The only fields that are required are first & last name (or External ID), due date, insurance type, and race & ethnicity. (Education and marital status are among the not-required fields). Q: Secondly, when I am marking attendance and the patient was absent, it would be helpful to have an option for hospitalized. There is an option for delivered, but we had a patient that had a PROM and was hospitalized until delivery. So, I had to just continue to mark her absent, but she wasn’t really absent at this point she was in the hospital. A: Great suggestion! We will look into adding this to the dropdown. Q: I have patients that have been added to the group after the first few sessions. Should we just leave the first sessions blank? A: Yes. We are working on a “phase 2” solution that would not count sessions before the first one attended by a mom as missed. Q: What if we have a patient that comes to 1 or 2 session and then “opts out” of Centering. How do we note this in Centering Counts? A: You have the option of removing the patient from the group and marking her as “opted out.” Details here: help.centeringcounts.org/help/manage-groups#4-7-remove-patient

At the Circle up for Centering Coordinators and Office Managers yesterday, there were a couple of questions. 1. When the data moved from the old tool to the new tool, some data was missing as it was not collected or the old tool. Do we have to go back and do a chart review for data that we did not collect in the old Centering Connects?

Hi Margie, no they don't need to go back and enter any additional data. CenteringCounts online will import Tab I outcomes from the Excel spreadsheets if they'd like to include "historical data" in their CenteringPregnancy outcomes report.

Question 2. If we put in info for a group that is held on a certain date and 2 weeks later when putting data in we inadvertently use the previous group date for the same cohort, will Centering Counts catch the double entry?

Access to each group's data is by group name so that shouldn't be a problem, and you can always go back and edit patient data if there is a mistake. Please let me know if I didn't quite understand the question!

When recording attendance - only Patient First Name displays in Patient Name field.

When recording patient attendance, there is a field called Send Feedback - what is that for?

Entering birth outcomes - it seems that some of the delivery type options should be grayed out based on whether patient is a primip or multip. Otherwise you run the chance of having a primip with a repeat VBAC or c-section.

For visual clarity on the Add Outcomes screen - it would probably make sense to have the screen divided into Delivery Information and Postpartum Information

Manage Group Details - completed groups continue to indicate Next Session number is 10. It might be useful to have the circle turn the same green color as the progress bar with the word Completed.

Editing group start date - Once a group has been created it is not possible to move the date of the first session to an earlier date than the original group start date -- Start date is greater than session #1 date! -- and there is no way to revisit the Group Start Date in the Edit Group screen once a group has been created. The only option is to
1) create a new group using the correct start date 2) reassign patients one by one from the old group to the new group (done on the Update Patient Screen) 3) delete the old group
