Hi all,
We are coming up on the 1 year visit for our first Centering Parenting group that we offered in our adolescent clinic. I would like to make kind of big to-do out of it and was thinking of throwing a first birthday party for the babies. Has anyone done this kind of thing before? If so what did you do. I would love to hear some ideas on how to make this visit special. Thanks in advance.

I am interested in Centering because: I am the Centering Pregnancy and Parenting Manager and Midwifery Program Manager. I am also the Centering Community Coordinator for Cuyahoga County.

We have done birthday parties for our groups. We have a happy birthday banner, plates and napkins, mini cupcakes for the little ones and regular cupcakes for parents, and balloons. We have even had moms bring presents for all of the babies. We sing happy birthday too and always try to take pictures. Parents love it! Babies love the cake!

We have done parties too. We usually have a banner, plates , napkins and someone will make cupcakes and we sing Happy birthday . Parents and kids love it !!!
