We have struggled with obtaining accurate BPs with the automatic machines we've used. We started with an arm cuff, and when readings were consistently elevated for many participants, switched to a wrist cuff and had the same problem. Any recommendations appreciated!

I have found that the wrist B/Ps by Omron or others, that don't start taking the B/P until the patient's arm and wrist are in the right position, to be fairly accurate. One has a heart shape that will start beeping when it is in the right place and I tell the patient to then hold their arm still and not talk. Also have to watch that they are sitting and not walking around.
