I am wondering who out there is doing bilingual groups using an interpreter and how that has worked for you?

Our group has been using native Spanish-speaking medical students, research coordinator, and a Mexican physician to interpret during Centering Diabetes and this has been very well received. I am a nurse practitioner working as a professor at a medical school and recruited the students. Though I speak some Spanish, I'm not good enough to facilitate an entire group in Spanish. We have had good interaction and participation with this arrangement. I believe the success is due to the interpreter being present for all meetings (not rotating one) that ensures group safety.
