We have our first group starting next week. We are looking to create a secret Facebook group for our members. I am looking for any information on creating guidelines for the Facebook group. I want to make sure that we are creating a safe environment for our women so that they can continue the support outside of group, as well as a place I can post announcements. If anyone has already created guidelines and would like to share them with me I would very much appreciate it!

It was suggested to us that the moms are welcome to do a private FB page for their group, but that our staff should not be included. This would keep us from being in an awkward position with answering medical questions or getting too involved in their private life in that type of forum, as well as not being able to document in the patient chart. As your groups grow- it would be very difficult to be active in so many groups. You would be more like a stalker. ) I would think you could start a Centering FB page for your facility and it could be public. Then if you have information to get out it would be a quick way to do it. It may also build some interest in the general public as it would be a public page. Just my thoughts
