Hybrid Model of Drive-Thru plus Centering Zoom

Hello Centering Family,
I wanted to share something our organization has done to continue Centering in the midst of the Covid-19 crisis. Because our inner city FQHC serves a very high risk obstetrical population we haven't been able to transition to a mostly telemedicine obstetrical practice. Instead our Centering program has developed a hybrid model where patients without immediate concerns have their Covid-19 screening and health assessments in a drive-thru process and later that day participate in a Zoom session with their facilitators. Patients requiring urgent evaluation not appropriate for drive-thru or whose high risk conditions warrant are brought instead to designated well clinics for an in-person visit. We are three weeks into this new process and our patients and facilitators have expressed a lot of appreciation that we can continue our Centering groups in some way during this time.
