Hi there,
Has anyone used zoom embedded in Epic for their virtual groups?
Our site just launched Zoom-Epic integration so I can open video 1:1 visits from Epic. Is it possible to open a group session this way?
If so, please pass along any tips!

I am interested in Centering because: I feel it is the best way to get pregnancy care! Especially seeing how teens are with the model!

I had reached out to our IS department regarding group zoom through Epic and they told me that it only has the capability (for us at least) to do 1:1. I'm guessing there's the ability to do it, but it would probably have to be built into the system. But that is just my guess.

We are switching to Epic in late September. I would love to learn more about how the Epic Zoom integration works.
I have not yet had any training in Epic, and just recently got permission to purchase the HIPAA compliant version of Zoom.
We had a town hall meeting this week to learn about Epic, and I asked about scheduling group visits as I know this took some work in our eClinicalworks EMR.
If anyone can provide any more guidance, or what questions I should even be aking IS, I would greatly appreciate it!

Hi Rose, Since my prior post I did some testing and figured out that we can use the Zoom-Epic integration to host virtual groups. I am attaching two cheat sheets from our clinic regarding this. The first one is about how to schedule and chart for a virtual group visit in Epic and the second is about how to launch a video visit through Epic. During the test I proved you can get all the patients on the same zoom visit. I had been worried that it would just launch a bunch of 1:1 video visits with each patient but it actually does get everyone on the same zoom and there is no time limit. Diana |
