TIME SENSITIVE FUNDING OPPORTUNITY - Maternal Telehealth Access Project
Hi Everyone,
We wanted to share the following funding opportunity below from the Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) for organizations to ensure that women at highest risk receive quality maternal care services before, during, or after pregnancy via telehealth during the COVID-19 pandemic. The due date for proposals is Monday, September 14th at 5:00 pm.
Some of the sample funding activities include -
Materials and Equipment (upgrading or purchasing hardware to increase bandwidth, upgrading or purchasing hardware to increase signal strength/connectivity, purchasing smartphones and/or tablets for community members, purchasing remote monitoring resources for patients - blood pressure cuffs, glucometers)
Telehealth Systems and Infrastructure (purchasing and/or installing hot spots throughout a community, converting rooms in facilities into telehealth appointment rooms, updating EHRs to better track telehealth services and link them to on-site, in-person staff, purchasing software or an app for a service provider to support telehealth services, ensuring that billing systems are ready to support telehealth telehealth engagements, education and advocacy related to telehealth policy that supports maternal health)
Outreach and Education (online education and support services - lactation consultation, nutrition services, genetic counseling, childbirth classes, mental and behavioral health supports, marketing of telehealth services or supports for both women and health care providers and development of a maternal fetal medicine hotline or consultation services)
Training and Technical Assistance (training including access for community members on how to use existing or new technologies, training for providers and/or support staff on how to use telehealth systems, training to increase equitable access to telehealth services for maternal health populations and training and technical assistance to ensure equitable practices are in place for telehealth supports and services)
We hope everyone has a great weekend! Take care!
