Looking to see if anyone has any (unofficial) outcome data for any virtual groups compiled yet? Is there any "official" research being done anywhere?
We have been doing Virtual Centering since last May, with varying levels of success; the biggest issue is attendance. We can enroll until the cows come home, but getting them to attend the sessions is proving to be problematic. We are constantly trying new things to get them to attend and engage, and those that show up seem to really enjoy it.
Our Centering program has become the focus of one of our hospital initiatives working on disparities in healthcare and while we have cautioned them that making decisions based on current Virtual Centering data would not be an overly accurate representation of true outcomes in a fully functioning in-person group, I'm not willing to say we are/aren't making an impact on these women that attend virtually until I have a better handle on the data. I'm still working on our outcome data to see where we are currently, but just curious if anyone else is gaining any insight on the outcomes in the Virtual setting versus traditional Centering care.
I'm more specifically also wanting to work on looking at specific session attendance to see if there is a correlation between outcomes between a woman who attends session 2, 6, & 8 versus a woman who attends session 2, 5 & 6. (Not a data scientist, just curious if specific session content can be attached to outcomes in a general sense.)
Just curious! Happy Tuesday!
