Black Maternal Health Week (BMHW), led by the Black Mamas Matter Alliance, is scheduled from April 11 - 17, 2022. Centering sites are on the front lines of the U.S. crisis of high maternal and infant mortality rates, with Black women at three to four times the risk as white women of death from pregnancy-related causes. Evidence has shown that CenteringPregnancy improves outcomes and reduces preterm birth particularly for Black women. Social Media Toolkit
We invite you to participate in the BMHW campaign and uplift the national conversation around the Black maternal health crisis and highlight the impact of Centering. To help build awareness, we have developed a toolkit with social media posts and graphics highlighting Centering as a sustainable intervention to help flatten the maternal mortality curve and improve health outcomes for Black moms. You can customize the posts with your images and data and share them on your social media channels during the weeklong campaign. Let us elevate the conversation! Access the social media media toolkit here and share.
