I am interested in Centering because: I feel it is the best way to get pregnancy care! Especially seeing how teens are with the model!

Verna,
You letter looks inviting and professionally prepared. It would make me feel welcomed into your Centering groups. Thanks for sharing! Genie Rotundo

Mine is also under construction, we're re-working it to be more personal, but here's what I'm using now:
Dear @patient name@,
We are really excited to be starting the next Centering Group! Our groups meet the second (and starting in April, the first and third) Tuesday from 5:30 - 7:30. The full schedule is as follows:
Session 1 - December 12, 2017 Session 2 - January 9, 2018 Session 3 - February 13, 2018 Session 4 - March 13, 2018 Session 5 - April 10, 2018 Session 6 - April 24, 2018 Session 7 - May 8, 2018 Session 8 - May 22, 2018 Session 9/10 - June 12, 2018 Reunion - July 24, 2018 Meet the babies!!
We meet in Room A120, which is on the first floor of the Main Building. To get there, enter through Urgent Care, walk straight back until the hall ends and turn left, then your first right; the room is right there and will clearly identified.
Come on in, sign in, make a nametag and have a snack, and make yourselves comfortable. We'll be taking your vital signs and doing belly checks (listening to the baby's heartbeat) for the first part, then we get started.
We look forward to seeing you there!
Sincerely,
Toni Allen CMA (AAMA), NCPT Centering Coordinator

I was at a wonderful session at the IM4US conference earlier this year and in a breakout on "Seven Promising Community Building Practices for Group Facilitation" led by Blue Walcer, she shared that her group enrollment increased fourfold and attendance also increased dramatically when she incorporated a "Congratulations, you've been chosen..." tone to her invitation letters. I realize this is not as ideal an approach as "this is how we do prenatal care" (opt-out) but it resonated with me. Does anyone else use this kind of "wu-hoo!" message when enrolling women?

Here is a sample of a direct mail piece that we use at University of Missouri Health Care. The piece is mailed to patients between the time they choose Centering and their first appointment.
