amydonaldson63 offered up some great ideas in this thread that she uses to help maintain staff morale and engagement around Centering because it significantly improves success of patient recruitment. Staff morale and engagement are sustainability measures we ask sites to report on in CenteringCounts. How do you keep your staff enthused about Centering in order for that enthusiasm and joy to felt by your new patients?

Here's a new idea that will surely boost morale, engagement AND patient recruitment. Invite 1-3 people from your front desk, scheduling and admin teams to participate in Monday's Circle Up webinar. We'll be discussing patient recruitment and enrollment strategies.
And then at a later date, gather everyone together to watch the recorded video and empower those same people to lead the lively follow-up discussion.
You can access the full schedule of Circle Up webinars through our new portal. Registration is required and limited. Let us know if you need any help -

I am interested in Centering because: I want to make a difference in someones life for the better and help educate them about the better way of healthcare. I am passionate about what I do with our Centering Program at Kaiser Permanente. I love the lifelong friendships that I build while going thru the journey of pregnancy for all of my patients. I love the personal care that patients receive and I love to keep our groups fun and current. Coming up on being accredited for a year in Jan 2018 and we have grown so much. Already starting 2 groups a month starting Dec 2017, beat our goal to start 2 by a month. #MicDrop

Staff morale and engagement are sustainability measures we ask sites to report on in CenteringCounts. How do you keep your staff enthused about Centering in order for that enthusiasm and joy to felt by your new patients? I do have to brag just a bit about our amazing staff at Kaiser Permanente in Bellevue, after putting together our raffle basket for staff and giving them all handouts about the requirements of the raffle and what is all included in the basket, I have NEVER seen the people I work with talk more with patients about Centering. Even our providers and MA's that don't do Centering and travel to other clinics are recruiting patients! This is amazing! It makes me feel good because I feel like I am doing something right. We had a record week this week but most important a record day today 3/17/17 and my coworkers ( midwives, MA's and RN's) recruited 6 patients today alone for upcoming Centering groups!!!!!!!! I was so proud of them! Most important is when they come up to me and said ok Amy, put this patient on the schedule for Centering and hand me their patient label with their name written on it to put in the raffle. They have a SMILE on their face and they are so excited! So this week alone we have recruited 12 patients for Centering. But today was 6 of those 12! 3 of those 12 is a MA who doesn't do Centering and is kind of shy to talk to patients but she has really been working hard for Centering! It is such a good feeling and what a great idea to get everyone involved!!!!!!! I mean everyone! I just had to brag and share what an amazing job my coworkers at Kaiser Permanente are doing at recruiting patients. Funny thing is, after putting a sticker in the raffle people want to know who has the most so far , lol a little friendly competition! GO TEAM!!!!!!
